Leadership – a thought worth listening
A few weeks (or a month or so) ago, I saw Rajiv P on Bloomberg. I was going to change channel, I was not really keen on hearing from him. But after a few words from him, I got hooked on listening to him.
It rearely happens that i remember name of a person from hearing it once or twice, but in this case i did like what he had to say and i rememberd his name and googled him a few weeks after.
Rajiv’s focus is on leadership and why it matters. He has wrote a book on too many bosses, too few leaders and has a compelling argument on why training and role playing can not create leaders.
Most that i liked what hear from him was
Leader dig deep within himself/herself to find energy to create better future
Bosses on the other hand cling to past and cope with present
Buisnesses have — Brains, Bones and Nerves
Brains – Vision and strategy
Bones – Org strcuture
Nerves – Culture of the org – What does an employee do when no one is looking.
I hope to find some time and read his book …
